All medications must be turned into Nurse Bailey by a parent by Friday as well. Remember, each medication requires a separate form and a physician's signature including insect repellent and sunscreen. This is required by state department of education.
FYI about PAL
*Each student is allowed to bring one suitcase only.
*Students will need to be picked up and dropped off at school by car on the first and last days of the trip as luggage is not allowed on school buses.
*No medications should be packed in suitcases. Everything must be turned into the school nurse by 4/11.
*Each student will need a pillow and a sleeping bag.
*PAL is a nut free facility.
*No electronics and no cell phones. We will be busy from 6:30 am until 10:00 pm. There will be no time for the use of either, and both are against Project American Life's policy.
*Students will be allowed to call parents using my phone daily. My cell is (205)561-7700. If you'd like to check on your 5th grader at another time, just send me a text. I'll respond as soon as possible.
*You may send a book to read or a puzzle book for the 15 minutes of daily quiet time.(This is a time of rest.)
We are currently wrapping up our 5th IB planner, and we'll be moving into our last one after the trip. Exhibition is in full swing and the students are enjoying it. The actual event is scheduled for May 21st from 8:30-10:30. Please mark your calendars so you can stop by for a bit. More details to follow soon.
