October 14th, 2015

10/14/2015

The poetry cafe is next Friday, October 23rd from 9-10:30.  Each student will share his/her favorite poem, and we will enjoy a time of fellowship.  During that time, we are planning to have brunch.  We need the following items donated and sent to school on/before next Friday.  If you can make a donation, please reply/comment to the blog and let me know what you can send.  Thanks in advance! :)

25 plates
25 cups
25 napkins
apples(pre-packaged)
cheese(individually wrapped)
donut holes(4 dozen)
*If 2 people could each bring 2 dozen, that'd be great.
orange juice(2 gallons)
apple juice(2 gallons)

**We have 20 students so please plan accordingly when buying the food.
**Please send items that need to be refrigerated to school on 10/23 because we have no place to store it.

I love the "people" you can make from pine cones for the body, acorns for the head, googly eyes, and some felt or pipe cleaners for the arms/hair/facial hair. I also like the idea if giving the kids fall leaves to combine and glue on paper however they want to make an animal. I love to see them get creative. You can google "pine cone people" and "fall leaf animals" to see what I'm talking about.

We'll bring the plates and napkins; we can also bring whatever is not signed up for by Thursday. Might be good to send an email to the parents, in case some of them don't read the blog.
