*We will begin our third IB unit...who we are. We will be learning about how an object's environment can affect its identity.
We will start our lunch bunch groups tomorrow. We will picnic in our classroom every Monday and discuss our literature selections over lunch.
We will also learn about word choice, voice, and sentence fluency during writer's workshop.
We will continue working with fractions, decimals, and percents. We will have a quiz on Wednesday.
We will be researching and working in centers this week to learn about the lost colony of Roanoke, Jamestown, and Plymouth.
We will begin our study of chemistry this week with some center activities on basic measurement. We will be studying mass, volume, and density. The students will rotate each day through the different 5th grade classes to learn about these concepts.
