Shouting out to Mrs. Kelly :) who came to our class last week to teach us how to maintain a healthy body. She taught us about healthy foods, which to eat and which to avoid. We even made fruit and cheese kabobs for a snack. Thanks so much, Mrs. Kelly, for the wonderful learning experience.
This week, we began our 3rd IB unit, How We Organize Ourselves. The central idea is... Societies are organized around economic, political, and cultural factors. The lines of inquiry are...1-New settlements form for different reasons. 2-The way societies are settled affects their future development. 3-As societies develop, they become more similar or different from each other. This will be our focus until mid-January.
We will research and study how we became the United States of America, and the students will compare and contrast the information learned about the U.S. to the country they selected to research. From this, we will create a piece of information writing.
