5th grade fun

Wow!  Friday was awesome.  The Kick-off Classic followed by the Olympics.  Thanks to all of you who came to support your child.  

Thanks also to those who attended the field trip meeting, PTA meeting, and Open House in our classroom on Tuesday.  I enjoyed speaking with you.

Picture Day is Friday, September 16th, so please mark your calendars.

A conference sign up sheet will be coming home soon.  Please indicate your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices, and I will do my best to accommodate you.

We are going to pick up the pace a bit as we are now in the 5th grade groove.  Check the agenda daily for assignments and updates.

*We will begin our first novel study(lit circles) this week.  There is a daily reading assignment which is indicated on the lit circle calendar.  Please remember to read every night.  There will be quizzes and assignments that relate to the reading daily.
